What is WorkSafe BC

WorkSafe BC is there to support you if you are suffering from a work related injury. They ensure that you receive the support and care that you need, including Physiotherapy through pre approved clinics like Agile.

If you have an accident at work you should start by reporting it immediately to WorkSafe BC.

After this, if you need Physiotherapy, book an initial WorkSafe Physiotherapy appointment here.

During you initial session, our Physiotherapists will work with you to understand your injury and the demands of your job. They will carry out an extensive assessment as well as functional testing to understand the extent of your injury and the impact that it has on you returning to work.

The Physiotherapist will also contact your place of work to discuss your job requirements, and whether your role could be adapted to meet your needs and get you back to the workplace faster.

The physiotherapy treatment going forwards will have a functional focus, with the aim of getting you back to work in a safe and timely matter. Finally the treatment will aim to empower you to prevent similar injuries happening in the future through exercises and strengthening.

How much will I need to pay?

You won’t need to pay anything for your appointments as these are covered by WorkSafe BC. Agile will deal with all of the billing for you, so you have one less thing to worry about. You will however be responsible for any fees incurred from late cancellations and no show fees.

We do not require a doctors referral to start your treatment.

Can I come for Massage Therapy treatment under my WorkSafe claim?

You should discuss this with your case manager and get prior approval from them. We are unable to direct bill WorkSafe for massage therapy treatments, however you can see one of our registered massage therapists and submit your receipt to WorkSafe to reimbursement.

We highly recommend that you get prior approval from you case manager before seeking any Massage Therapy treatments through your claim, and fully understand how much they will cover.
