Dr. Lorna Ciccone, ND, (she/her) is passionate about helping people change their relationship to their pain. She uses the naturopathic ethos to guide her approach to care and in some cases considers regenerative (prolotherapy and platelet-rich plasma) and non-regenerative (steroid and non steroid) injection therapies as a springboard to facilitate a larger healing process.

She is especially enthusiastic about empowering individuals to own each aspect of their healing process and is trained in conversational techniques designed to evoke this power. Rooted in a trauma-informed lens, Dr. Lorna is committed to delivering health education and treatments designed from the latest in brain science. She uses techniques such as Pain Reprocessing Therapy, mind-body medicine approaches, and therapeutic journaling techniques alongside traditional naturopathic treatments to get to the root cause of an individual’s pain or symptoms.

Dr. Lorna is trained to deliver not only prolotherapy, platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) and steroid injections, but also identify dietary, lifestyle and emotional challenges that may be getting in the way of healing. She can also combine traditional pharmaceuticals, botanical medicine, supplements and acupuncture as a part of her treatments.

In her free time, Dr. Lorna is passionate about exploring the outdoors for hours on end, advocating for animal rights and social justice, and eating a whole foods, plant-based diet. She participates in ultra-endurance events and has her sights set on a 100-mile race in 2024. She reads as many books as possible, but particularly enjoys books read on Audible during any commute. She also loves exploring the depths of her own human experience through meditation, expressing anger, and sharing belly laughs.

She also acknowledges naturopathic medicine’s role in oppression and colonization and will continue to educate herself on the origins of the practices misappropriated from Indigenous and Asian medical systems.
