Lauren graduated with her Master of Physical Therapy from UBC in 2018 and has practiced in Victoria since beginning her career. She developed a strong interest in treatment of the hand and upper extremity early in her career, which led her to pursue her Certified Hand Therapist credential in 2022. Lauren has over 5000 hours of hands-on experience working with complex cases involving the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Her specific clinical interests include post surgical rehab, splinting, and wound care.
Lauren believes the pillars to quality physical therapy are exercise and education, and works hard to ensure her clients are well equipped to manage their injuries independently. She is invested in learning how your injury or pain impacts your life, and working with you to find a program that suits your needs. She also considers having a laugh together essential to the healing process.
Growing up in Kamloops, BC, Lauren was a lifelong recreational (sometimes competitive) soccer and basketball player, as well as downhill skier. Her early professional life took her to Victoria in 2014, and she has called the Island home ever since. Outside of the clinic, you can find Lauren walking her dog Vesper, birdwatching, cycling, shooting hoops, and playing pickleball with her wife.
